The Language Academy is a language focused kinder to eighth grade school with French and Spanish programs. The school campus is surrounded by residential neighborhoods on three sides and is adjacent to the San Diego Unified School District Child Development Center. The comprehensive Master Plan develops guide lines to improve the exiting campus and explore opportunity for the new building location. The proposed new building with an "L" shape form is to be inviting and embraces the visual axis from the new drop-off area through a pathway "promenade". A new promenade connects all of the existing buildings and the new campus elements along a spine of connectivity from the joint-use city park, joint-use parking, campus entrance, to the heart of the campus.
