gkkworks was retained to reconfigure the Cerritos Town Center, which was originally designed in the early 1990's. With a number of vacant stores, the center was converted from a small retail space shopping center to meet the demand for spaces required by large specialty retailers. The project included the demolition of two multi-tenant retail buildings and the construction of a 16,718 SF Linens-N-Things and a 19,500 SF two-story Borders Books. The new buildings were integrated into the existing distinctive design to enable the project to maintain its unique architectural style.
